Not Exactly a New Year’s Resolution

August 6, 2008

While it won’t qualify as a “New Year’s Resolution” – I have made a new commitment to fitness.  As of late, I’ve been way too lazy.  I use to run, and swim, and cycle, and lift weights, and on a nearly monthly basis eat a vegetable.  These days I do very little that classifies as “exercise.”  There was a time when I could soundly defeat most Elvis impersonators in a friendly arm-wrestling showdown.  Now I would be doing well to arm-wrestle Miley Cyrus with a successful outcome.  So there you have it – a new commitment to stay active.  How have you established a steady, consistent routine for fitness?

I’m trying to be healthy right now. I’m staying under 1,100 calories a day, I’ve cut out soda’s and sweets, and I’m doing something aerobic 4 days a week.

I feel like I have so much more energy than I usually do, but I miss sweets.

I plan on cheating my diet very soon!
