Sanity Restored

August 20, 2008

I have a bit of an obsession.  Let me explain.  Rhonda and I recently moved into a new (it’s actually ninety years old) home.  It’s filled with tile and hardwood flooring.  Aesthetically speaking – the floors are fantastic.  The trouble is – dust, dirt, grass, hair, debris, and crumbs seem to dominate the landscape.  It drives me crazy.  We’re not messy people.  Of course everyone believes that they are “above average” at driving – so maybe we are messy but I really don’t think so.  Last week we made a little investment.  We bought a light-weight, handheld Dyson.  It’s sort of like a Dust Buster – except is actually seems to hold a charge and capture the particles I dislike.  I’m obsessed with clean floors and this new gadget that supports my quest.  I’m much happier these days.  What drives you crazy?

  1. Dog hair! I can’t stand dog hair and I have a furry little border collie that lives indoors. There are certain seasons of the year where he’d be on the door step if he weren’t so darn cute. 🙂

I agree with Jenni! We have two dogs and a cat and the hair drives me CRAZY! I am jealous of your little Dyson. I didn’t know that they made a smaller size. Our vacuum recently broke and we were lucky enough to get a hand-me-down Rainbow from a relative. I have never had so much fun vacuuming! Congrats on the new home!

Teeny tiny lego pieces. My son has tons and tons of legos. He takes them everywhere. Let me tell you how painful it is to be barefoot and step on one of those guys!
